Experience:
Commander Scheuermann worked one year as a narcotics investigator with the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office in the State of Wisconsin before joining the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office in 1989.
Has worked in Court Security, Transport, Warrants, Patrol, Recreation Safety, Investigation, and Jail Divisions.
15 years on the SWAT Team, including Team Leader/Assistant Commander
Ten years as a narcotics-detecting canine handler (USPCA)
Firearms instructor/armorer
Liaison for the Sheriff’s Mounted Patrol for five years.
Chief of the Dakota County Fair from 2004-2011
Sergeant in charge of the Patrol Division for five years.
Four years as Captain, assigned to both the Detention Services and Operations Divisions.
Currently assigned as Commander, Operations Division
