Computer Forensics Unit
Purpose:
Formed in 2003 as in a joint effort with the Dakota County Information Technology Department, the unit examines computers and related equipment to determine involvement of the user and/or owner in criminal activity
Goals:
Continue to train staff members so they remain up-to-date with ever-advancing technology
Provide computer equipment and updated software to examiners to develop investigations to their highest potential
