Active Shooter Training/Response
With the ever changing world we live in, law enforcement response must constantly be changing with it. The Dakota County Sheriff's Office understands the importance of training their personnel to be able to respond to hostile situations. Several times a year, personnel with the Sheriff's Office conducts in-house active shooter trainings at various sites. This ensures that all sworn staff are utilizing the most up to date tactics to respond to an active shooter/hostile action based incident.
The Dakota County Sheriff's Office works hand in hand with area schools and their administration to develop response plans. The Dakota County Sheriff's Office encourages area schools and businesses to visit the Department of Homeland Security website. This is a great resource for finding information regarding active shooter and workplace violence situations as well as how to prepare for them.
