High School Mentorship Program


Our Office recognizes that youth are one of our most valuable resources. We also know there are teens who would like to learn more about career options in the fields of Law Enforcement and Corrections.

We partner with local high school and college career counselors to provide an enriched mentor program for students that are interested in exploring Law Enforcement, Corrections, Criminal Justice and other closely related fields.

The mentor program is a mutually beneficial program for the Sheriff’s office and students. The program provides both the mentor and mentees with guidance, insight and knowledge into the different lenses we all use on a daily basis.

This partnership allows for students to meet our staff, learn about career opportunities, set career goals and gain information on how to go about pursuing their career interest. Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Must be actively enrolled in high school or college

  • Candidates must complete a Background Investigation
